
Onsite Insurance Verification and Authorization Specialist

The Insurance Verification and Authorization Specialist is responsible for verifying patient insurance coverage, obtaining necessary authorizations and pre-certifications for medical procedures and services, and ensuring accurate and timely communication with healthcare providers, patients, and insurance companies. This role plays a critical part in minimizing denials, reducing delays in care, and ensuring smooth billing and reimbursement processes. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and knowledgeable in insurance guidelines and healthcare authorization procedures.
Qualifications & experience
- Good English communication skills both verbal and written
- Familiarity with insurance verification, prior authorizations, and electronic medical records.
- Availability required for weekend shifts and graveyard hours
Tasks & responsibilities
- Review and process medical claims, insurance forms, and healthcare documentation
- Enter and update patient data in the system accurately and promptly
- Verify insurance eligibility and coverage through online portals or insurance calls.
- Obtain pre-authorizations for procedures, and clarify coverage details with insurance providers.
- Coordinate with front-office or billing teams to resolve discrepancies
- Maintain strict confidentiality and comply with HIPAA guidelines
- Follow standard operating procedures and meet turnaround time and accuracy targets
- Handling outbound calls from Office or insurances.
- Prepare reports and documentation as required by the client or management
- Identify and escalate issues or inconsistencies for resolution
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Fresh graduate
Pay: Php20, Php30,000.00 per month
