Strategy Lead (Assistant Manager)- Retail Operations The Operations Strategy Lead is responsible for developing and implementing the store operations’ strategic goals. He/She collaborates with cross-functional teams to align strategies and innovation initiatives with business goals, analyzes retail market trends and competitors to inform management decisions, and guides team members on related projects. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Strategic Support, Planning, Synergies and Culture Driving Gate keeper for new opportunities in Generika’s store operations group; focuses on idea management and alignment with store operations’ goals for new initiatives or business models. Strategic goals and roadmaps Define strategic goals, obligations, and roadmaps for store operations through strategy planning sessions; work with store operations leads to track progress and ensure effective communication and operationalization of the strategy. Collaboration on high-priority initiatives Collaborate with business units on high-priority strategic initiatives including synergies, partnerships, transformational projects, and critical stakeholder issues. Innovation landscape Identify areas for innovation and lead high-impact innovation projects with clear added value and long-term impact on the store retail experience. Customer insights and innovative solutions With the Customer Insights team, gather information and work with internal or external stakeholders to develop innovative solutions addressing business gaps and needs. New products/solutions Bring new products/solutions to the Generika Network by monitoring tech trends, analyzing requirements, and preparing ROI analyses and business impact assessments. Market and Competitive Intelligence Maintain current professional and technical knowledge through workshops, publications, networks, and professional societies. Market monitoring Monitor macroeconomic cycles, trends, triggers and understand potential implications. Regulatory awareness Monitor local regulatory policies and initiatives and analyze implications for the group. Competitive monitoring Regularly report on competitor performance and major moves to identify opportunities and risks. Supervision of work Supervise, provide guidance and feedback on projects and staff activities of the Strategy & Innovation Specialist. Quality control Review and monitor subordinate work (presentations, reports, records) for accuracy. Resource management Approve subordinates’ work schedules, leaves, OT, and log edits. Talent development Develop subordinate talent to ensure skills continuity and knowledge transfer within the department. I. JOB REQUIREMENTS AND PREFERENCES a. Education & Experience Educational Level: Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Management Engineering, Operations Management, Accounting, Financial Management, or other business management degrees. Years of experience: At least 3-4 years in the related field; preferably with Finance and Business Development background. c. Certifications/Licenses Preferably Project Management, Design Thinking, Business Innovation. I. COMPETENCIES Critical & Analytical Thinking with problem solving and customer centric mindset. Interpersonal and stakeholder management Excellent interpersonal skills; adept in stakeholder & partner management. Project and time management Strong project and time management skills. Communication Excellent oral and written communication in Filipino and English. Technical proficiency Proficient in MS Office with advanced Excel skills. Business analysis Experience in business case preparation and evaluation, financial management, market research and analysis. Presentation Strong presentation and storytelling skills.
