Key Tasks & Deliverables:

Operational and Team Management:

  • Oversee assigned countries migrated into MNL ISSC Customs team.
  • Develop strategies to optimize processes, ensure accountability, and foster ownership.
  • Monitor team and individual performance to meet expected standards (based on defined SLA).
  • Provide guidance on process design and optimization.
  • Propose process changes to enhance efficiency and execution.
  • Act as an ambassador of BSS MNL ISSC.
  • Prepare and present performance reports to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ensure quality and compliance with NDA and adherence to established processes and SOPs.
  • Collaborate with associates to improve productivity and foster positive stakeholder relationships.
  • Maintain health and safety standards relevant to the working environment and staff.
  • Plan and organize resource requirements effectively.
  • Escalate irregularities to the Business Support Services Manager for Customs.
  • Conduct weekly coaching sessions with team leads.
  • Lead efforts to resolve recurring issues.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the team and processes.
  • Work under the guidance of superiors.
  • Ensure timely completion of tasks and processes within agreed SLAs.
  • Proactively seek ways to enhance team performance.
  • Engage regularly with relevant stakeholders through touchpoints.

Team Leadership & Coaching:

  • Create a trusting, communicative, and collaborative team environment.
  • Motivate and inspire team leaders and members.
  • Lead by example, demonstrating consistent behavior with words.
  • Facilitate problem solving and teamwork.
  • Maintain healthy group dynamics and intervene when necessary.
  • Help keep the team focused and on track to meet KPI targets.
  • Support the migration of countries under the Customs team, both off-site and on-site.
  • Address operational issues and manage employee performance and conduct as needed.
