About the Role This is an internal leadership role at Donna, not a client role. As a Team Lead, you’ll be one of the cornerstones of our talent development and retention strategy. You’ll manage and coach a diverse team of 8‑12 virtual Executive Assistants, helping them excel in their client relationships while building fulfilling careers at Donna. This role requires you to be both a supportive mentor and a performance‑focused manager. You’ll build genuine trust and rapport with your team members, providing the coaching and guidance they need to succeed with their clients. At the same time, you’ll set high standards and deliver direct, sometimes challenging feedback when performance issues arise. Beyond day‑to‑day coaching, you’ll serve as the primary HR liaison for your team, handling everything from vacation requests to policy questions. You’ll also be a key voice in shaping how Donna operates, providing input on policies, procedures, compensation, and our hiring and training processes. Your insights from working directly with talent will help inform company‑wide decisions. Through regular Slack check‑ins, video calls, and ongoing support, you’ll create an environment where talented professionals choose to build their careers with us long‑term. Our Hiring Process Our process is simple and focused. We start by carefully reviewing your resume, then invite you to share a short (2‑minute) intro video so we can get to know you beyond the paperwork. From there, you’ll go through friendly and thoughtful conversations: A quick (20‑30 minute) chat with our Recruiting Lead → A (40‑50 minute) coaching simulation with our Training Lead to show us your unique coaching style → And a final conversation with our CEO. Responsibilities The Team Lead role is dynamic and there is no way to capture every responsibility. Here are some of the core responsibilities of the role: Coach and develop a team of 8‑12 virtual Executive Assistants to excel in their client relationships and grow their careers at Donna Build strong trust and rapport with team members while delivering direct performance feedback and accountability when needed Conduct regular check‑ins via Slack and video calls to support talent success and engagement Manage team capacity, vacation requests, and leave scheduling to ensure consistent client coverage Serve as primary HR contact for your team, addressing policy questions and workplace concerns Turn talent insights into real impact‑shaping policies, growth opportunities, and people strategies and culture Champion team happiness and engagement: Look for fun, meaningful ways to boost morale, celebrate successes, and keep the team connected, making Donna a place people love to work Identify and develop high‑potential talent for advancement opportunities within Donna About You Necessary Skills Exceptional communication skills – ability to deliver both supportive coaching and difficult feedback with clarity and empathy Natural people developer – you lead with heart and purpose, genuinely caring about your team’s growth, well‑being, and success. You’re more than a manager; you inspire, coach, and advocate for your people, creating a positive, engaging, and people‑first culture where everyone can thrive. Balanced leadership approach – comfortable being both supportive mentor and firm accountability partner as situations require Cultural intuition – ability to build trust and rapport across cultural differences, particularly with Filipino professionals and American clients Strong judgment – makes sound decisions about when to upscale issues, how to prioritize competing demands, and what feedback to give Need to haves 3+ years of direct people management experience (not just project leadership) 3+ years of hands‑on experience supporting executives and teams as an Executive Assistant, Virtual Assistant, or in a similar role Proven experience managing remote teams or distributed workforces Proven track record of developing and retaining team members Strong English communication skills (written and verbal) Nice to haves Experience working with global businesses, preferably American clients or in American business contexts Previous experience as an HR liaison or handling employee relations Familiarity with coaching methodologies or people development frameworks Experience providing input on or developing company policies or operational procedures Benefits Fixed salary: ₱80,000 per month, paid semi‑monthly Work setup and schedule: Fully remote, Full‑time, EST work hours (night shift Philippines), Monday to Friday Paid time off Upcoming benefits (2025 - 2026): HMO coverage SSS, Pag‑IBIG, PhilHealth Performance‑based bonuses Annual salary increase (performance‑based) 13th month pay (prorated based on tenure) #J-18808-Ljbffr
