Business Manager - AWM Retail, VIP Markets At Smith+ Norrell, we design and manufacture technology that expands living limits. The BM is responsible for helping VIP markets (Vietnam, Indonesia and the Philippines) achieve better brand recognition and profitable financial growth through distributor, pharmacist and strategic account management. Key duties include: Responsibilities Sales achievement of assigned business unit: Achieve budgets for the assigned product portfolio. Report on business prospects, competitor activities, market trends and sales performance within the assigned markets. Market‑mapping for distributor markets. Conduct risk assessments, analysis and evaluation of customer needs; interface with business‑unit partners and corporate functions on new opportunity evaluation and screening. Assist with coordinating deal‑execution process, including due diligence activities on potential targets and transactions. Perform ad‑hoc analyses and execution of business projects. Maintain BD pipeline reports and trackers. Understand S&N internal processes to drive NPLs. Drive growth across portfolio by developing new channel partners: Achieve sales through effective customer management along with channel partners using agreed business plans. Provide feedback on business processes as they relate to sales activities and processes. Work with management to improve overall effectiveness and optimization of business processes and portfolios. Follow‑up with customers to ensure satisfaction with products and/or services. Maintain high knowledge of the assigned product range, roadmaps, competitive products, pricing, market share and key product differentiation. Ensure marketing activities are suitably followed up within the assigned market and that investment of the business is returned via sales effort. Assist in the preparation of monthly and quarterly business reporting requirements and in the annual budgeting processes. Overall management of indirect (channel partner/distributor) sales personnel: Train and coach staff to maximise effort and performance. Continually develop excellence in product and technique knowledge, and selling skills of the team through ongoing coaching and field visits. Assure consistent high level of distributor capabilities to serve and develop customers in the assigned geography. Continually assess sales territories and re‑align as necessary. Conduct performance evaluations. Create and execute detailed sales plans to achieve revenue objectives. Maintain monthly inventory and sales forecasting. Ensure distributors complete all compliance training modules/requirements within the set timeframes. Develop and implement brand execution, activations and promotion for the deployment of the brand marketing plan: Drive consumer demand for the brand through the deployment of different marketing mix in both online and offline store. Lead in‑store brand activities, promotion deployment, POSM development, marketing collaterals, brand events and related operational activities. Manage brand budget and monitor/control A&P expenditure within budget allocations. Lead ongoing analysis and review of brand performance, promotional programmes and competitive information. Digital marketing activations (social media, websites, e‑commerce, analytics) to drive consumer brand equity and demand. Other duties: Provide technical and sales training to new/ junior sales personnel of distributors. Act responsibly to avoid risk to self or the company and comply with workplace safety and security policy. Perform any other duties as assigned from time to time. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in any field. Extensive retail experience in chain pharmacies with a proven track record in managing relationships with major pharmacy chains such as Guardian and Watsons or local chains. Experience negotiating and executing trading terms agreements (TTAs) with central HQs. Strong distributor management, onboarding and managing distributors across regions. Strategic business planning capability: develop and implement comprehensive business strategies, budgeting, forecasting and P&L management. Proficiency in conducting market trend analyses and competitor benchmarking. Experience operating in at least two of the VIP markets (Vietnam, Indonesia, Philippines). Familiarity with modern trade channels and retail marketing strategies to enhance brand visibility and consumer engagement. Experience executing in‑store promotions and digital marketing campaigns. Effective communication and negotiation skills.
