The Safety Officer is responsible for planning, implementing, and overseeing the company’s employee safety programs. The role ensures compliance with occupational health and safety (OHS) guidelines, promotes a safe workplace, and minimizes risk to people, property, and the environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor workplace activities to ensure safety and compliance with regulatory standards (OSHA, ISO 45001, etc.).
  • Conduct regular inspections and risk assessments to identify hazards.
  • Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses and recommend corrective actions.
  • Develop and enforce safety policies, procedures, and programs.
  • Conduct safety training and awareness programs for employees.
  • Maintain records of safety-related incidents and training.
  • Collaborate with management and employees to improve overall safety culture.
  • Ensure the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safety devices.
  • Prepare reports for management on safety statistics and recommendations.
  • Liaise with regulatory bodies and coordinate audits or inspections.
  • Stay up to date with new regulations and industry best practices.
