This is a remote position.
Role overview: Virtual Case Manager for a client attorney with over 15 years of experience in complex accident claims. Responsibilities focus on pre-litigation case management, client interaction, document management, demand preparation, and communications with insurance companies, with collaboration across stakeholders.
Responsibilities- Obtaining, organizing, and managing client medical records and bills
- Work with client to determine providers; obtain medical records from all providers, organize and document status
- Obtain medical expenses from providers and health insurance companies
- Prepare a spreadsheet to track total medical expenses
- Determine and document liens
- Obtain and organize police reports, fire department reports, and documents from government entities
- Coordinate with client, attorney, and legal team to identify required governmental documents and reports
- Open new client files; create and manage files in Clio and Windows File Explorer
- Document statute of limitations, government claim form deadlines, and medical payment deadlines in Clio and Excel
- Contact at-fault parties’ insurance company and client’s insurance company; send letters of representation and obtain confirmatory information
- Communicate with clients to determine medical providers, insurance, and liens; obtain supporting documents (photographs, lost wages, etc.)
- Ensure client is receiving adequate medical treatment and that all documents are requested and received
- Remote position experience
- Previous experience in personal injury law, insurance defense, or related field preferred
- Knowledge of injury claim process; familiarity with legal systems and terminology desirable
- Basic understanding of medical records and terminology
- Strong organizational and communication skills; ability to work independently
- Proficiency with Clio, Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and Adobe Acrobat; experience with legal case management software a plus
- Ability to conduct research, summarize findings, and maintain confidentiality
- Regular communication via Slack, Zoom, and phone; participate in daily team meetings
- Willingness to learn and adapt; strong ethical standards
- Prior experience in personal injury or wrongful death cases beneficial
- P45,000 take-home pay per month
