Job Description

Joining Arup. Arup's purpose, shared values and collaborative approach guide our work. Our Manila office provides services across Transport, Property, SIT, Energy, Water and Planning, with involvement in major transport infrastructure programmes in the Philippines and collaboration across APAC.

This is a pivotal leadership opportunity based in our Manila location to shape and grow our transport business in the Philippines, collaborating with the Country Leader and APAC Transport Leader to lead a high-performing team across rail, roads, aviation, and maritime sectors.

The Opportunity
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive transport market growth plan aligned with Arup's strategic direction and values.
  • Lead high-priority client pursuits, ensuring alignment with business goals and delivering strong outcomes through effective bid strategies.
  • Cultivate a positive, inclusive team environment, supporting professional development and continuous improvement.
  • Monitor progress with data-driven insights and provide regular reporting to senior leadership to inform strategic decisions.
  • Represent Arup's transport business in the Philippines and promote regional collaboration, delivering high-quality project delivery across Southeast Asia and broader APAC.
Is this role right for you?
  • Recognised tertiary qualifications in planning or engineering, with relevant professional certification or chartership.
  • Experience in strategic leadership within the transport sector (rail, roads, aviation, maritime).
  • Strong interpersonal and client engagement skills; ability to build trusted relationships and position Arup as a partner of choice.
  • Experience leading complex bids and pursuits, including pricing strategy and proposal development.
  • Commitment to fostering a diverse, high-performing team culture with mentorship, capability-building and inclusive leadership.
