Project In-Charge The Project In-Charge is responsible for the overall site construction management of a project and ensuring that the project is completed on time, within budget and quality standards, and with zero accident and fatality. Responsibilities Review and validate the construction budget based on actual site condition. Review dependency of construction activities against schedule. Prepare catch‑up programs when slippage exceeds 5%. Review and approve the procurement schedule. Review and endorse purchase requisitions, terms of reference, and procurement plan. Oversee timely delivery of materials, tools, and equipment. Coordinate with procurement, design, engineering, etc. on cost and schedule impacts. Plan and execute construction barracks, warehouse, site office, ingress and egress. Resolve site issues through coordination with stakeholders. Submit construction progress reports to the Project Manager. Monitor construction cost versus budget and actual progress versus schedule. Inform the Project Manager of potential cost overruns and recommend solutions. Oversee implementation of contracts, review cost claims, and manage time extensions. Review and endorse variation/change orders to CMD‑QS. Preside over regular meetings with contractors and stakeholders. Review cost reconciliation reports and endorse to the Project Manager. Orchestrate activities and provide technical direction to the Construction Management site team. Coordinate with direct reports for building inspection and turnover. Submit turnover documents. Monitor safety policies and assist the Project Safety Officer in preparing safety programs. Support cleanliness and security of the project site. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or related field. Possession of relevant professional certifications or licenses (e.g., Registered Civil Engineer or Registered Architect). Minimum 5 years of experience in construction projects. In‑depth knowledge of construction industry standards, regulations, codes, and best practices. Skilled in project scheduling, cost control, risk management, and contract management. Proficiency in construction management software (MS Office, MS Project, AutoCAD). Strong leadership or supervisory experience and excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Continuous professional development to stay updated on industry trends. Strong organizational and time‑management skills. Proactive and results‑oriented mindset. Excellent analytical and critical thinking abilities. Strong client‑relationship management skills. Adaptability and resilience in dynamic construction environment.
