Job DescriptionThe Business Development Manager (BDM) is accountable for driving new business acquisition and maintaining a robust and well-qualified sales pipeline. The BDM's primary focus is on lead generation, prospect qualification, and initial client engagement. Upon identification of a viable project opportunity from a prospective client, the BDM facilitates a seamless handover to the Account Manager for detailed proposal submission and project stewardship. Both roles share joint responsibility for deal negotiation and closure to achieve revenue objectives.
Key Responsibilities- Strategically develop and implement comprehensive lead generation initiatives to cultivate a strong, sustainable, and qualified sales pipeline targeting brands, esports/gaming clients, and agencies across event production, brand activations, creative services, social media marketing, film production, and related agency offerings.
- Conduct in-depth research and due diligence on prospects to understand their strategic business objectives, key performance indicators (KPIs), and brand positioning, enabling tailored and persuasive sales pitches and proposals.
- Establish and nurture initial client relationships, effectively articulating the agency's value proposition and service capabilities to prospective clients.
- Design and deliver sophisticated sales proposals, sponsorship frameworks, and activation strategies aligned with client requirements and market trends.
- Collaborate closely with Account Managers to ensure smooth transition and knowledge transfer of qualified leads and project specifications for subsequent submission and execution phases.
- Maintain meticulous and up-to-date records within the CRM system, ensuring accurate pipeline management, sales forecasting, and performance reporting.
- Represent the agency at industry events, conferences, and networking forums to identify and cultivate strategic partnerships and new business opportunities.
- Partner with Account Managers in contract negotiation and deal closure processes, ensuring alignment with revenue targets and organizational goals.
- Continuously identify, evaluate, and pursue new revenue streams and strategic partnership opportunities within the gaming/esports and advertising sector and other relevant verticals.
