Job DescriptionThe Accounting Assistant will provide support to the accounting team by managing daily accounting tasks. This role involves maintaining financial records, preparing reports, and reconciling bank statements. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, a keen eye for detail, and a basic understanding of accounting principles.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with the preparation of financial statements and reports.
- Maintain accurate and complete financial records.
- Perform data entry and maintain updated financial information.
- Reconcile bank statements and assist with account reconciliations.
- Process invoices, payments, and expense reports.
- Support month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Assist in preparing budgets and forecasts.
- Provide administrative support to the accounting department as needed.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting regulations.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or pursuing such a degree).
- Proven experience as an Accounting Assistant or in a similar role is a plus.
- Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP) and MS Office, especially Excel.
- Understanding of basic accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
