Role Title Finance HR Operations Officer Role Summary The Finance Systems & People Operations Officer owns the end-to-end financial, administrative, and people operations that power Valtatech’s business. This role combines hands‑on accounting (AR, AP, and general ledger), financial systems management (Xero, Coupa, Project Works), HR administration, and office operations support. You’ll ensure the integrity of financial data, streamline workflows, and drive automation across finance, HR, and admin processes. Working closely with leadership, delivery, and technology teams, you’ll help build a scalable, digital‑first operational function that supports Valtatech’s growth across APAC. Responsibilities 1. Core Finance Operations Own day‑to‑day financial operations — Accounts Receivable (billing, collections, revenue recognition), Accounts Payable, and bank reconciliations. Manage month‑end and year‑end close activities, ensuring accurate GL postings and reconciliations. Maintain the integrity of financial statements and assist in statutory reporting and audits. Support cash flow forecasting and working capital management. Act as the primary owner of Valtatech’s financial systems (Xero, Coupa, Project Works). Ensure data integrity across integrations (Xero, Coupa, Project Works). Liaise with vendors and consultants for upgrades, issue resolution, and enhancements. 2. HR Administration Maintain accurate employee records and ensure compliance with employment laws and internal policies. Support onboarding and offboarding processes, including documentation, system access, and coordination with hiring managers. Assist with payroll preparation and employee benefits administration in coordination with external providers. Support HR projects such as performance review cycles, engagement initiatives, and policy updates. 3. Office & Administrative Operations Oversee day‑to‑day administrative support. Manage vendor relationships and contract renewals for administrative functions. Ensure proper record‑keeping, documentation, and policy compliance across operations. 4. Process Improvement & Automation Identify and lead automation initiatives across finance, HR, and admin processes. Simplify workflows for invoicing, expense management, and employee operations. Build dashboards and reports to improve visibility and decision‑making. Partner with delivery and technology teams to embed scalable and efficient operational practices. 5. Controls & Compliance Maintain financial and operational controls over transaction processing, system access, and HR data. Ensure tax and statutory compliance (e.g., GST, withholding, employment reporting) across regions. Support internal and external audits with clear documentation and reconciliations. Develop and maintain SOPs and process documentation across finance, HR, and admin. 6. Cross‑Functional Collaboration Work with delivery teams on project invoicing, time capture, and client billing. Partner with sales and commercial teams to improve quote‑to‑cash efficiency. Support expansion into new regions (e.g., Malaysia) from a systems, HR, and compliance perspective. Experience & Skills Accounting qualification (CA/CPA or equivalent) preferred. 5+ years in finance operations, ideally in a tech‑enabled or consulting business. Experience in HR or administrative operations preferred. Strong experience with Xero, Coupa, and/or Project Works. Proven ability to automate and optimize processes across finance and HR. Confident communicator who can translate operational needs into practical solutions. Hands‑on, detail‑oriented, and comfortable operating in a lean environment.
