Overview POSITION TITLE: LEAD – GENERAL LEDGERREPORTING TO: Manager – General LedgerLOCATION: Cebu, Philippines Summary Description: Working with an emerging shared services organization, the General Ledger Team Lead isresponsible for leading and supporting a Dover business segment’s processing of general ledgertransactions. While managing a small team of accountants, this role is responsible for investigating andcorrecting escalated issues while maintaining positive relationships with internal and external customers,as measured by service level agreements and key performance indicators. This position reports to the GLManager and is based in Cebu, Philippines. Essential Responsibilities Manages and supervises team of accountants in performing a variety of general ledgerprocesses Reviews and approves journal entries and balance sheet account reconciliations Coaches individual performance and career management Measures team performance in relation to organizational goals Coordinates and engages with key stakeholders across the shared service group Partnering with the General Ledger Manager to support strategic initiatives, continuousimprovement and other special projects Delegates tasks and assignments to accountants Performs consolidations and process streamlining Performs journal entry tracker review and analysis Monitors and approves team’s timekeeping and attendance scheduling Provides audit support, both internal and external Education and Experience Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and Management Accounting; CPA preferred Previous experience in general accounting, with exposure to: US GAAP and IFRS Fixed Asset, Cash Management and Intercompany Accounting Experienced with major ERP Systems (i.e. SAP, Oracle, etc.); Oracle preferred Proficiency using Microsoft Excel (i.e. basic to complex formulas, pivoting, graphs and charts,Macro Excel is a plus) Six-sigma trained is a plus Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Applications (including SharePoint and Web-basedapplications) Preferred Qualifications Ability to lead a small and large group of professionals Ability to work with leads and managers of other teams and functions Uses gamification, empowerment, trust and other strategies as appropriate to develop andmotivate team members Ability to develop, implement and assess performance metrics Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Ability to critically analyze data and determine its validity Exercises professional skepticism Ability to work in a fast paced, high volume environment while remaining organized with strictattention to detail Ability to meet deadlines and produce accurate results Willing to work flexible hours when business conditions dictate High level of customer focus and ability to maintain a positive attitude at all times Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situationswhere only limited standardization exists Self-directed, positive and ethical role model able to work with minimal supervision Ability to maintain a professional demeanor at all times with customer and coworkers; fullyobserve Dover’s Code of Ethical Conduct, Employee Handbook “Personal Conduct of Employees”policies and ISO Quality System Standards Company Overview Dover Business Services (DBS) is an independent business to business service provider within Dover Corporation, a diversified global manufacturer with annual revenues of $7.5 billion.
