Overview

Position Summary: Outsource Cohu PH/SG Kit parts and Contactors product(s) to local PH or Asian supplier(s) by qualifying capable, reliable, and lower cost suppliers (ASL). Ensures exceptional lead-time, cost and quality delivery by selecting and managing suppliers accordingly. Employs the right contract to serve its purpose and to reduce contract liability. Identifying cost optimization opportunities and maintaining supplier relationships.

Responsibilities
  • Vendor Sourcing and Management: Sources, Identifies, evaluates, and selects suppliers through Cohu procurement process. Leads material sourcing and qualification schedule and provides status update to Project team on a timely manner.
  • Negotiation and Contract Management: Drives contract/quotation(s) negotiation with qualified local PH, Asian supplier(s), other regions to meet Cohu PH target price(s). Comprehends Contract language and drafts new Contract terms and conditions. Ensures contracts are properly executed and managed.
  • Spend Analysis and Cost Optimization: Analyzes and provides quotation(s) summary for final decision making to management and initiates meetings for decision and alignment. Analyzes spending data to identify areas for cost reduction and improvement. Validates and benchmarks for any cost increase from suppliers and seeks approval. Drives cost savings initiatives with the sourcing team to generate substantial value for the company and provides a consolidated report. Streamlines the value chain of product sourcing from raw material supply until finished goods.
  • Supplier Relationship and Performance Management: Builds and maintains strong relationships with suppliers, ensures ongoing communication and cooperation. Conducts Supplier Business Review to highlight performance and drive improvements. Leads SCOC, Supplier Cybersecurity ratings and highlights risks on Supply Chain. Drives continuous improvement in supplier performance.
