Position: Assistant Quality Assurance and Quality Control Manager Staff Request No:

Responsibilities
  • Reports directly to SMDC QC Manager regarding all matters pertaining to quality of Project/s
  • Supervises External Construction Management Quality Assurance & Quality Control Team
  • Evaluates the Project Quality Plan (PQP), Inspection and Test Plan (ITP), and Method Statement (MS) submitted by the External Construction Management (CM) if in parallel with SMDC’s PQP and ITP
  • Attends Project Management Meetings and Project Technical Meetings
  • Reviews and studies approved drawings (FCD, RFIs, RFAs, SI, CB, etc.) and specifications
  • Inspects mock-up unit/s, together with External Consultants’ Representatives and SMDC QA Representatives
  • Validates residential units and common areas accepted by the CM prior to endorsement for acceptance by the SMDC QA and GPMC respectively
  • May conduct plant visits and recommend supplier’s/contractor’s capabilities in complying with the standards/requirements of the Project/s
  • Validates corrective and preventive actions on Observations and Non-Compliance Reports (NCR) based on methodologies approved by the External Consultants
  • Checks handling/archiving of documents/records by the Construction Management
  • Reviews Weekly Report prepared by the External Construction Management prior to submission to the SMDC QMBT-QC Section
  • Evaluates the performance of External Construction Management on the implementation of the Quality Control Plan for the project
  • Evaluates the performance of Suppliers on the supply of materials if in accordance with the project’s quality standards
  • Evaluates the performance of contractors on the provision of services if in accordance with the project’s quality standards
  • Reviews Materials Inspection Reports on delivered materials (OSM and materials supplied by Contractors) approved/accepted by the CM
  • Conducts inspection on handling of materials, especially those supplied by the Owner
  • Prepares and issues corresponding reports based on verification/inspection on site
  • Monitors timely closeout of issued observations reports
  • Checks/verifies Work Inspection Reports approved by the CM
  • Conducts inspection of on-site work activities for compliance with approved plans and specifications
