Due to expansion in operations within our group we require Fiber Optic Technicians with various levels of experience to splice fiber optic cables in indoor and outdoor settings, read, create and maintain splicing schematics and diagrams, and take and maintain accurate splicing and field notes. The Fiber Optic Technician role exists to splice fiber optic cables, ensure timely professional installs according to company standards, and serve as the primary facing agent during faults or on-site customer issues.

Responsibilities
  • Splice fiber optic cables in indoor and outdoor settings according to standards.
  • Read, create and maintain splicing schematics and diagrams.
  • Take and maintain accurate splicing and field notes.
  • Ensure installs are completed in a timely and professional manner following company standards.
  • Act as the primary facing agent during faults or on-site customer issues and coordinate with the right personnel.
Qualifications
  • Graduate of Engineering, Electronics, or related course (preferred).
  • Experience in fiber optic QA/QC or installation/testing.
  • Knowledge of OTDR, splicing, and fiber optic tools.
  • Detail-oriented with strong reporting and documentation skills.
  • Willing to work in both office and field.
