Overview

Zywave is hiring an Editorial Assistant to join its dynamic editorial team in the Philippines. This role will focus primarily on providing editorial support for Zywave’s web-based software products. As an Editorial Assistant, you will be responsible for organizing and maintaining product materials in Zywave’s content library while supporting the company’s market-leading position.

Responsibilities
  • Publishing and Content Management: Upload, manage, and publish multimedia content using the content management system.
  • Assist the editorial operations team in posting content for online publication, including basic quality assurance and file conversion.
  • Proofread articles and verify accuracy of edited copy for grammar, punctuation, and typographical errors.
  • Ensure all published content aligns with Zywave’s Editorial Stylebook and formatting requirements.
Administrative and Editorial Support
  • Support day-to-day editorial operations.
  • Draft advertising contracts and assist in managing the firm’s advertising calendar.
  • Respond to editorial-related queries from US-based clients and colleagues via email.
  • Assist in other areas of editorial operations and perform other related tasks as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Education : Bachelor\'s degree in journalism, Mass Communication, or a related field.
  • Experience : At least 1 year of experience in a publishing, editorial, or media-related environment. Open to fresh graduates with relevant experience in related fields.
  • Competencies and Skills :
    • Basic HTML skills (ability to format text, embed links, images, and tables).
    • Familiarity with CMS platforms and digital publishing workflows (training provided).
    • Strong proofreading skills with keen attention to detail.
    • Familiarity with the AP Stylebook is a plus.
    • Ability to multitask and meet tight deadlines.
    • High level of computer literacy and Internet knowledge, including Microsoft Office products.
    • Ability to understand Zywave’s products, customers’, and partners’ needs.
    • Creative, resourceful, and collaborative team player.
    • Prior experience in publishing, journalism, or digital media is a plus.
    • Excellent oral communications and interpersonal skills and a strong desire to learn and grow professionally and personally.
