Job Description:

  • Supports the production editorial in all operations and activities leading to the publication of instructional materials such as textbooks, teacher's manuals, and other ancillary materials, print or online.
  • Assists the production editorial, headed by a production editor (PE), in the preparation of raw and edited manuscripts, making sure that they are encoded, organized, readable and checked for completeness.
  • Contributes concepts for the development of the appropriate cover and layout design of the instructional materials, collaborating with graphics and marketing departments in ensuring the designs get approval on time.
  • Proofreads and counterchecks galley and laid out proofs for entirety, factual accuracy, language and comprehensiveness, alerting the production team for errors and issues that could reasonably compromise the quality of the instructional materials.
  • Coordinates with other departments involved, such as graphic artists, development editors, printers, and other production staff to monitor timetable for stages and meet the deadline in the publishing processes.
  • Prepares art logs and research photos or images for the instructional materials.

Job Qualifications:

  • Graduate of Bachelor of Secondary Education major in Social Studies or Social Sciences.
  • Good interpersonal skills.
  • Preferably with experience in editorial works and or Curriculum planning but not required.
  • Has good writing, grammar and proof-reading skills.
  • Willingness to travel at 1253 Gregorio Araneta Avenue Quezon City

Job Type: Full-time
