As a CAD Designer, you’ll translate technical directions into accurate 2D drawings for residential lighting and low‑voltage systems from the comfort of your home. Responsibilities Create, update, and maintain 2D plan sets for residential lighting and low‑voltage system designs. Ensure symbols, icons, and layers are accurately placed, scaled, and consistent with design standards. Follow technical instructions and apply standardized templates for all drawings. Produce reflected ceiling plans, elevation diagrams, and layout drawings from design team direction. Use color coding and symbols to distinguish system components. Collaborate with team leads and designers for alignment, revisions, and updates. Attend internal Zoom meetings and design reviews with clients when required. Self‑manage priorities, complete edits, and proactively solve design‑related challenges. Maintain organized digital file structures and documentation for easy access and version control. Qualifications Experience creating technical drawings and maintaining 2D plan documentation. Strong eye for detail and commitment to precision. Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple files and revisions. Technical aptitude and quick learning of new tools. Time‑management skills and reliability in meeting deadlines. Clear written and verbal communication skills. Self‑starter, proactive, resourceful, and comfortable working remotely. Background in architecture, drafting, design, or a related field is a plus. Will working on a US time‑zone schedule. Required technical setup: HD webcam, noise‑canceling headset, 25 Mbps primary internet connection, backup laptop, and computer with at least Intel Core i5 and 8 GB RAM (backup can be i3/4 GB).
