Job summary: The Regulatory, Legal, and Statutory Specialist is responsible for overseeing and monitoring the organization's compliance with relevant laws, regulatory, and statutory requirements. This role ensures adherence to management system certifications, stays up to date with regulatory changes, and communicates required actions to maintain continuous compliance.What You'll Do:
  • Develop key performance indicators (KPIs) to track and report on the organization's regulatory and legal compliance performance.
  • Provide regular reports to management on compliance status and identified risks, ensuring corrective actions are taken.
  • Continuously track regulatory, legal, and statutory changes at local, national, and international levels that may affect the organization.
  • Communicate relevant changes and updates to internal stakeholders, ensuring the organization remains compliant.
  • Advise management and various departments on the interpretation and implementation of regulatory and legal requirements.
  • Provide practical solutions to mitigate potential legal risks or compliance issues.
  • Develop and implement internal policies and procedures that align with legal, regulatory, and statutory requirements.
  • Conduct risk assessments to identify and evaluate potential legal, regulatory, or statutory risks across operations.
  • Maintain a comprehensive database of all relevant regulatory, legal, and statutory documents.
  • Ensure proper documentation of compliance with laws, regulations, and certifications for audits.
  • Prepare and submit regular reports on regulatory compliance status to senior management.
  • Organize training sessions for employees on regulatory, legal, and statutory requirements.
What We're Looking For:
  • Educational Background: Graduate of a Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Food Technology, or any related fields.
  • Work Experience:
    • At least three (3) years of experience in Food Quality Assurance, Manufacturing, or related fields.
    • Proven experience in managing regulatory affairs, including compliance with government requirements.
  • Working knowledge of quality and food safety management systems, such as HACCP, ISO 9001, and ISO 22000.
  • Familiarity with Philippine laws and regulations governing the food manufacturing industry, including FDA regulations and the Food Safety Act of 2013.
  • Experience in handling internal and external audits.
  • Skills & Competencies: Regulatory and Legal Knowledge, Risk Management, Analytical Skills, Attention to Detail, Collaboration.
