Job Description

Senior Bookkeeper remote position. Part time - starting at 25-30 hours per week with possibility of transitioning to 40 hours weekly. Industry: AU Healthcare (NDIS/Australian Healthcare). Software: MYOB or Xero. VA rate: 6-8 AUD.

This is a remote position with day shift hours.

Overview

Role: Senior Bookkeeper supporting AU region/market, performing end-to-end bookkeeping using MYOB or Xero, with responsibilities spanning data management, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, reconciliations, budgeting, and financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Access data from CMS and extract primary data from Brevity CMS as required
  • Manage Contractor Data and assist with ABN/GST verification
  • Customer Invoicing and Receipting: Bill customers on time and file copies per procedures; record customer payments and prepare daily banking; issue monthly statements as needed
  • Stock/Inventory: Notify stock management of low stock alerts
  • Supplier Payments and Expenses: Collate supplier invoices, authorize and process payments; record supplier payments and office expenses in MYOB/Xero
  • Admin Support Duties (Occasional): Respond to client queries on invoices/payroll issues
  • Debt Collection: Provide fortnightly updates to Directors on overdue accounts; send statements; chase overdue accounts via phone, letter, and email; document activities for accessibility
  • Reconciliations: Reconcile bank accounts fortnightly and loan accounts quarterly
  • Payroll Processing: Maintain confidential records; process employee pays; provide pay schedule; track leave accruals; manage PAYG and superannuation payments; prepare year-end payment summaries
  • Budgets and Financial Statements: Assist in preparing annual budgets in MYOB; prepare end-of-month journals; draft monthly financial statements and liaise with Accountant; provide additional reports as required
  • Data Management: Ensure MYOB files are backed up offsite weekly; maintain software subscriptions and updates
  • Quarterly Business Activity Statement: Prepare figures; liaise with Accountant and handle queries
  • Brevity Client Management System: Access required data for debtor/creditor reconciliation; maintain client data confidentiality
Qualifications
  • At least 2 years of experience as a Bookkeeper supporting AU region/market
  • Proficiency in MYOB or Xero; ability to demonstrate working knowledge of the tools
