We’re looking for a Home-Based Accounting Assistant to join our U.S.-based client in the promotional products industry. In this role, you’ll support daily finance operations, manage accounts payable and receivable, and maintain accurate financial records. Self-Motivated: Trustworthy and dependable in a remote setting, with the ability to complete tasks on time and manage responsibilities independently. Tech-Savvy: Strong computer skills and ability to learn new applications quickly; proficient in Microsoft Office Suite. WHAT YOU WILL DO Enter and maintain accurate financial data in accounting software. Support daily finance operations, including AP/AR, bank reconciliations, and general ledger entries. Process invoices, payments, and expense reports; manage weekly check runs. Post invoice transactions, issue past-due notices, and perform collection follow-ups. Communicate with vendors, suppliers, and customers to resolve billing and payment issues. Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes, supporting the preparation of financial reports. Provide administrative support to the finance team and assist with other assigned tasks. WHAT WE LOOK FOR Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field. Experience: 1–3 years of general accounting or equivalent experience. Offshore accounting experience is a plus. Language Proficiency: Strong written and spoken English communication skills. Technical Skills : Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel – pivot tables, advanced formulas, etc.). Proficiency in QuickBooks, SAP, or other accounting systems. Solid understanding of AP/AR processes, account reconciliation, and accounting standards.
