Visit Free 24/7 access to our office gyms (Ortigas and Makati) with a free physical fitness trainer Exclusive Emapta Lifestyle perks (hotel and restaurant discounts, and more) Unlimited opportunities for employee referral incentives across the organization Standard government and Emapta benefits Total of 20 annual leaves to be used on your own discretion (including 5 credits convertible to cash) Fun engagement activities for employees Mentorship and exposure to global leaders and teams Career growth opportunities Diverse and supportive work environment What You'll Bring to the Role Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA or equivalent preferred) Minimum of 4 years of experience in financial accounting, reporting, compliance, and audit Proven experience in overseeing transitions of accounting functions Proficiency in ERP systems such as NetSuite, BlackLine, and Bill.com Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a remote setup Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Your Key Responsibilities Financial Reporting & Compliance Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports in accordance with company policies, local and international accounting standards, and regulatory requirements (e.g., GAAP, IFRS) Analyze financial statements, identify trends, discrepancies, and potential financial risks Ensure accuracy of financial reports to support key business decisions Monitor compliance with accounting standards and regulations; adjust practices as needed Transition Management Lead transition of accounting functions from third-party providers to internal management Serve as main point of contact for internal and external stakeholders during the transition Integrate third-party systems and processes into the company's internal structure Document workflows, identify gaps, and establish new procedures for the in-house accounting team Train and support internal team members to manage new processes and systems efficiently Accounting Operations Oversee and maintain the general ledger to ensure accurate posting of financial transactions Manage accounts payable and receivable functions; ensure timely processing of payments and receipts Reconcile bank accounts, credit card accounts, and other financial records; resolve discrepancies promptly Implement best practices in financial management and accounting to enhance efficiency and accuracy Expense Management Review and approve incoming bills and invoices; ensure compliance with company policies and standards Review and post global payroll journal entries accurately and in compliance with tax and labor laws Ensure employee expense reports comply with Corporate Expense Reimbursement policy; approve and track reimbursements Audit & Tax Compliance Oversee accurate and timely tax filings, including corporate tax, VAT/GST, and other applicable taxes Prepare documentation and support for external audits; implement recommended improvements Ensure regulatory compliance in financial reporting, tax regulations, and industry-specific standards About the Client Our client powers public sector success through advanced intelligence and proprietary solutions.
