Staff Nurse

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 3 AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY CSR (Customer Service Representative) Performs quick health assessment to patients. Refers patients to primary care and specialist doctors. Attends to patients’ queries and complaints. Collaborates with the HMO Department for the processing of patient’s healthcare. Provides health teaching and gives clear instructions to patients undergoing laboratory and/or diagnostic procedures. Provides proper endorsement of patient/s to other departments (Ortho/Rehab, Eye Center, Pulmonary and Diagnostic Center). Assists with arrangement of appointment for the patient. ENCODER Registers patient’s name in the system. Updates general data of patients in the system. Encodes all cash transactions, i.e. Laboratory work-ups and/or diagnostic procedures, as requested by the doctor. Provides proper charging of supplies used after minor procedures. Retrieves patient’s record in the system. Answers phone calls once in a while. CIRCULATING NURSE Gives the patient’s chart to the doctor for consultation. Prepares doctor’s room for consultation and/or physical exam. Assists patient to and from the doctor's room. In charge of taking vital signs, visual acuity and other assessments. Provides basic nursing skills and knowledge in patients care. Administers medications (Oral, SQ, IV and IM) and performs skin testing (mantoux and antibiotic). Prepares instruments for minor procedures. Assists doctors in minor surgical procedures and emergency cases. Provides after care. OTHE RESPONSIBILITIES Performs administrative tasks. Collects and provides proper screening of LOAs before sending to HMO Department. Provides proper monitoring of medical supplies, emergency medicines, laundry usage and fixed assets. Provides proper monitoring of emergency cases and medical services. Provides proper monitoring of consultation and procedure census. Provides proper monitoring of clinic rentals. Provides proper documentation of cancelled transactions. Monitors and records infectious cases. Performs EECP treatment. Provides monthly summary and payment update of EECP treatment. Provides proper monitoring of casualties and receiving of Doctors’ statement of accounts. Collaborates with co-nurses for the betterment of the Department. Provides daily update of Department’s status to the Head Nurse. #J-18808-Ljbffr
