Staff Nurse

Three Key Areas of Responsibility 1. Customer Service Representative (CSR) Conducts quick health assessments for patients. Refers patients to appropriate primary care physicians or specialists. Addresses patient inquiries and concerns promptly and courteously. Coordinates with the HMO Department for healthcare processing. Provides health education and clear instructions to patients undergoing laboratory or diagnostic procedures. Ensures proper endorsement of patients to other departments (e.g., Ortho/Rehab, Eye Center, Pulmonary, Diagnostic Center). Assists in scheduling and arranging patient appointments. 2. Encoder Registers and updates patient information in the system. Inputs all cash transactions such as laboratory and diagnostic requests ordered by doctors. Charges supplies accurately after minor procedures. Retrieves patient records as needed. Occasionally answers phone calls and assists with inquiries. 3. Circulating Nurse Provides patient charts to the attending doctor for consultation. Prepares the consultation room and necessary materials for examinations. Assists patients before, during, and after consultations. Takes vital signs, visual acuity, and performs other basic assessments. Delivers patient care using basic nursing knowledge and skills. Administers oral, subcutaneous, intravenous, and intramuscular medications; conducts skin tests (Mantoux and antibiotic). Prepares instruments for minor surgical procedures. Assists doctors during minor surgeries and emergency cases. Provides appropriate post‑procedure care to patients. Other Responsibilities Performs various administrative duties as needed. Screens and forwards LOAs properly to the HMO Department. Monitors medical supplies, emergency medicines, laundry usage, and fixed assets. Oversees emergency cases and monitors the provision of medical services. Tracks and records consultations, procedures, and clinic rentals. Documents all cancelled transactions properly. Monitors and logs infectious cases. Administers and monitors EECP treatments, including monthly summaries and payment updates. Tracks casualties and manages the receipt of doctors’ statements of accounts. Works collaboratively with co‑nurses to enhance departmental operations. Provides daily updates on the department’s status to the Head Nurse. #J-18808-Ljbffr
