Overview Job Title: Finance Documentation & Content Specialist (Freelance). Workstyle: Remote. Compensation Range: $6-$10/hr. Timezone: Flexible (Asia daytime preferred). We’re looking for a Finance Documentation & Content Specialist to help capture, document, and package our finance and accounting workflows into clear, easy-to-follow materials. The goal is to turn complex financial processes into practical learning tools, from written SOPs to visual explainers, for our internal bookkeeping and analyst teams. Responsibilities Work closely with our finance and accounting team to understand real workflows and translate them into structured documentation. Create clear SOPs, process maps, and checklists that reflect real operational steps. Develop training materials in various formats — written guides, visuals, and short explainer clips when needed. Use annotated screenshots and examples to make content more engaging and easier to understand. Organize and maintain all materials in ClickUp and shared drives for easy access. Requirements 2–4 years of experience in finance, accounting, instructional design, or process documentation. Background in Finance, Accounting, or FP&A — familiarity with tools like QBO, Xero, or Google Sheets is a big plus. Experience as an Instructional Designer, Technical Writer, or Process Documentation Specialist. Proven ability to develop SOPs and structured training materials. Comfortable using different media (text, visuals, short videos) to communicate processes. Familiarity with Google Docs/Sheets, ClickUp, Loom, or Descript. Strong attention to detail and a knack for simplifying complex information. Ideal Candidate You design learning experiences that help others do their jobs better. You can learn quickly from subject matter experts and translate their knowledge into clear workflows. Organized, responsive, and proactive communicator. Deliverables Step-by-step SOPs and checklists with screenshots or visuals. Process documentation organized by topic or workflow.
