The Architect is responsible for designing buildings and other physical structures by combining functional, aesthetic, and safety aspects. The role involves translating client needs into functional and visually appealing architectural designs, ensuring compliance with local building codes, zoning laws, and environmental regulations. Architects also collaborate with engineers, contractors, and stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle, from concept to construction completion.

  • Meet with clients to determine project requirements, budgets, and objectives.
  • Develop conceptual designs, detailed architectural drawings, and 3D models.
  • Ensure designs are functional, sustainable, and aesthetically pleasing.
  • Prepare construction documents, specifications, and schedules.
  • Coordinate with structural, MEP (mechanical, electrical, plumbing), and civil engineers.
  • Ensure compliance with local building codes, zoning laws, fire regulations, and accessibility standards.
  • Oversee and inspect project sites to monitor progress and ensure adherence to design, quality, and safety standards.
  • Revise plans to accommodate site conditions, client feedback, and engineering input.
  • Manage planning and building permit submissions and approvals.
  • Stay updated with latest trends in architecture, materials, and construction methods.
  • Utilize software tools such as AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Rhino, Lumion, and Adobe Creative Suite.
Education:
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture from an accredited institution.
Experience:
  • 2–5 years of relevant professional experience (for junior to mid-level roles).
  • 5+ years for senior architect roles, preferably with experience in large-scale projects.
Licenses & Certifications:
  • Licensed Architect (or working toward licensure) as per country/state requirements.
  • LEED Accreditation or other sustainability certifications (optional but preferred).
Skills and Competencies:
  • Strong conceptual, creative, and design thinking skills.
  • Excellent drawing and visualization skills, both by hand and with software.
  • Proficiency in design and drafting tools (AutoCAD, Revit, Rhino, SketchUp, etc.).
  • Knowledge of building materials, construction techniques, and systems integration.
  • Solid understanding of construction documents, codes, and standards.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving mindset.
  • Team player with strong collaboration abilities.
