Role Overview As the Social Media and Community Manager at LandShark Games, you will play a crucial role in shaping and growing our brand's online presence and fostering a thriving community of passionate players. You will be responsible for creating, curating, and managing content across various social media platforms, as well as engaging with our community to ensure their needs, feedback, and concerns are addressed. You will also be tasked with keeping up with trends and monitoring engagement to improve future content creation. This role requires a creative mind, excellent communication skills, a deep understanding of gaming culture and our portfolio of games IP. We value your creative input and feedback as we foster a tightly knit team environment where collaboration is not only essential but cherished. Responsibilities Be very familiar with current social media platforms such as TikTok, Discord, Twitter, Facebook/Meta, Instagram and emerging platforms. Collaborate with marketing team members, to help develop and execute a comprehensive social media strategy to enhance brand awareness, drive engagement, and promote upcoming game releases and updates. Create compelling and visually appealing content, including images, videos, and written posts, tailored to each platform's best practices and the gaming audience. Manage official social media accounts, including scheduling and publishing posts, responding to comments, and engaging with followers in a timely and authentic manner. Monitor trends, conversations, and feedback within the gaming community to identify opportunities for engagement and improvement. Collaborate with cross-functional team‑mates, including marketing, development, and customer support, to ensure consistent messaging and alignment across all channels. Plan and execute social media campaigns, contests, and giveaways to encourage user participation and interaction. Cultivate and nurture a positive and inclusive online community by moderating discussions, addressing player concerns, and promoting healthy interactions. Analyze social media performance metrics and generate regular reports to track the effectiveness of campaigns and identify areas for improvement. Stay up-to-date with emerging trends, tools, and platforms in social media and gaming to ensure the company remains at the forefront of industry practices. Qualifications Proven experience in social media management, preferably with PC, mobile or console games. Good working knowledge of social platforms like Discord, TikTok, Instagram, Twitter, Facebook/Meta, etc and their best practices. Strong passion for and understanding of the current game industry, trends, communities and gaming culture. Good written and verbal communication skills with the ability to adapt tone and style for different audiences. Proficiency in using social media scheduling and analytics tools. Creative thinker with a keen eye for design and visual aesthetics. Ability to handle sensitive situations and player feedback with empathy and professionalism. Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Team player with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across different departments. Previous experience in community management is an advantage. Nice to have Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Game Design, or a related field (or equivalent experience). Knowledge of SEO and online marketing trends, publishing tools like Wordpress, MailChimp is a plus.
