Responsibilities
  • Review drawings, specifications, and bid packages of projects and identify safety issues
  • Review Job Hazard Analysis (JHA)
  • Conduct regular site safety inspections
  • Represent the company to clients as Safety Officer
  • Prepare safety reports for circulation and submission to Head Office
  • Attend to victims of accidents
  • Investigate and report causes and circumstances of accidents or dangerous occurrences
  • Conduct trainings and seminars related to safety matters and concerns
  • Maintain and update the Safety Manual
  • Serve as secretary to the health and safety committee
  • Help achieve objectives and compliance of the construction industry in relation to quality and standards
  • Perform other functions that may be assigned by superiors
Qualifications
  • Requires college graduate and safety training/seminar (COSH)
  • Requires at least 5 years of experience in the construction industry
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Strong knowledge of safety regulations, risk assessment, and incident investigation
  • Good command of English
