Role DescriptionThis is a full-time, remote position for a Sales Specialist. The primary focus of the Sales Specialist will be to actively engage potential clients through cold calls and schedule meetings to explore their needs and offer tailored shipping solutions. The role demands a proactive approach in initiating contact with new clients, maintaining excellent relationships with existing clients, and effectively managing the sales pipeline.
Responsibilities- Generate new business opportunities through cold calling and lead generation.
- Schedule and conduct meetings with potential clients to discuss their shipping needs and how Venkor can meet them.
- Deliver exceptional customer service, ensuring client satisfaction and long-term relationship building.
- Manage the entire sales cycle from initial contact to closing the deal.
- Collaborate with the sales team to achieve collective and individual sales targets.
- Conduct market research to stay informed about industry trends and the competitive landscape.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Proven experience in sales, particularly in cold calling and meeting arrangement.
- Demonstrated ability to meet and exceed sales targets.
- Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills.
- Ability to thrive in a team environment and contribute to team goals.
- Knowledge of the shipping and logistics industry is a plus, but not required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a related field preferred.
- Highly motivated with a robust work ethic.
- Persistent and driven to engage new clients and grow the business.
- Capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
