Overview

Production Support Specialist - with UNIX exp — OpenText Makati, National Capital Region, Philippines.

Responsibilities
  • Provides technical support in a production environment by responding to case service levels, analyzing issues, and developing resolutions to problems of limited scope and complexity.
  • Demonstrates expertise within the product offering and the environments they operate in; understands application functionality, relational database architecture, operating systems, and communications protocols.
  • Troubleshoots applications in Unix/Linux environments.
  • Provides enhanced file and transaction error handling and reporting based on the customer’s identified business needs, including prioritization of EDI critical documents for error notification within the required service levels.
  • Coordinates and facilitates production map break/fix changes within the support team.
  • Coordinates and communicates with customers about any process issues that may interrupt service delivery.
What You Need To Succeed
  • Minimum 2 years of technical support experience; strong problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to craft technical solutions for customers who may or may not be EDI-savvy.
  • EDI knowledge preferred.
  • Unix experience is required; basic navigation and scripting knowledge.
  • Flexibility to work onsite during corporate/RTO days, shift rotations (including weekends), Philippine holidays, and on-call when necessary.
