OVERVIEW OF THE POSITION:

Primary responsible for implementation and coordination of sales and marketing related strategies in accordance with the recommended methods and guidelines given by the company towards the achievement of sales and marketing goals in the territory. 

Also act as Orthopedic Technician that provides technical support to Physicians, Physician Assistants, and Nurse Practitioners in the delivery of standard orthopedic practice and assisting in routine surgical procedures. All work is performed under the supervision of a physician or appropriate licensed practitioner. 

Lastly, responsible as inventory custodian to their assigned territory and ensure safekeeping of PSI orthopedics products.

TYPICAL ACTIVITIES:

The duties listed below are intended only as illustrations of the various types of work that may be performed. 

As Jr. Product Specialist;

  1. Serves as primary contact person for orthopedic support in the areas of surgical coverage, troubleshooting and in-service technical support.
  2. Educates customers on the merits and proper clinical usage of company products by giving presentations and demonstrations using a wide variety of formats and platforms to keep all customers abreast of the latest development, recommended therapies, and technological updates and current items of interest in the industry.
  3. Attends surgical procedures in operating rooms of hospital accounts to assure customer and patient success with PSI orthopedics products.
  4. Ensures proper and timely sales ordering and submission of required documentation needed for sales process and collection in accordance with Company's policy and procedure.

As Inventory Custodian;

  1. Responsible for monitoring of stocks
  2. Performing timely Monthly Physical count & weekly cycle count of inventory ensuring that all is accounted for and reported according to company policy.
  3. Ensure proper safekeeping & storage of inventory
  4. Maintain adequate inventory level to meet customer demand
  5. Investigate and report any discrepancies found in inventory
  6. Reporting of defective products discovered.
  7. Check date sensitive products for expiration and facilitate removal & transfer of product as needed
  8. Coordinate closely with customer service & logistics department
  9. Timely submission of case reports (product used in cases)
  10. Has a wide-background in overall inventory management processes

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree of Nursing or any four- allied medical course.
  • With at least 2-3 years of experience in handling/operating medical equipment/ device; technical support to Physicians, Physician Assistants, and Nurse Practitioners in the delivery of standard orthopedic practice.
  • At least 1 year of experience as a Product or Medical Specialist.
  • Must possess excellent communications and interpersonal skills
  • Passionate, result-oriented, self-motivated, positive and proactive
  • Willing to travel and do field work as required.
