Job Purpose and Role We’re looking for a detail-oriented Bookkeeper with a CPA background to oversee our day-to-day financial operations and ensure accuracy, compliance, and efficiency. This role combines traditional bookkeeping responsibilities with higher-level accounting expertise, making it ideal for someone who thrives on both the transactional and strategic aspects of finance. Key Responsibilities Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including general ledger entries, accounts payable/receivable, and bank reconciliations Help prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards Support payroll processing, employee reimbursements, and related tax filings Participate in budgeting and forecasting activities, including variance analysis and cash flow tracking Support external audits and tax preparations by ensuring all supporting documentation is complete and accurate Develop and implement accounting policies and internal controls to improve financial operations Assist leadership in financial decision-making by providing timely insights and analysis Ensure compliance with GAAP and other relevant regulatory requirements. Qualifications CPA certification preferred (active or inactive license accepted, depending on jurisdiction) Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field 5+ years of bookkeeping and accounting experience, preferably in SaaS and Health‑tech industries Strong understanding of US GAAP, tax compliance, and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS). Proficiency with Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, NetSuite) Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain confidentiality Job type: Full Time - Remote Hours: Available during standard US business hours (9am-5pm EST or 8:30am-4:30pm EST) This job description is intended to describe the general requirements for the position.
