Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Prepare and cook menu items, including breakfast, lunch, and baked goods, according to recipes and company standards.

2. Ensure that food is cooked to order and served promptly to maintain efficient kitchen flow.

3. Follow all food safety and cleanliness guidelines to ensure the kitchen environment remains clean and safe.

4. Monitor and inspect the food preparation process to ensure the quality and consistency of every dish.

5. Ensure portion control and that all dishes are presented beautifully in line with café standards.

6.Keep the kitchen station clean, organized, and stocked with all necessary ingredients and tools.

7. Assist in inventory management, including maintaining stock levels, rotating supplies, and assisting with ordering.

8. Ensure all food storage complies with health and safety standards.

9. Work alongside the café team to maintain a smooth operation during service times.

10. Communicate effectively with the kitchen and front-of-house staff to ensure that orders are prepared and served efficiently.

11. Assist in the training and development of junior kitchen staff as needed.

12.Adhere to all local health and safety regulations, including food safety guidelines and kitchen hygiene practices.

13. Keep kitchen equipment clean and ensure it is in proper working order.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
1. High school diploma or equivalent qualification.

2. Previous experience as a line cook in a café, restaurant, or similar environment.

3. Knowledge of cooking methods, ingredients, and kitchen equipment.

4. Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining a high level of accuracy and speed.

5. Strong attention to detail, cleanliness, and organization.

6. Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

7. Flexibility with hours and availability, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
