Their work is crucial for providing accurate data and insights to their customers. They are seeking a meticulous and process-driven professional to join their data operations team and help manage the core workflow that powers their business.

The Opportunity

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Data Operations Coordinator to own the end-to-end workflow for our client\'s utility rate data. This is a critical role designed to offload a senior data scientist from repetitive data management tasks, allowing them to focus on higher-level analysis.

You will be the central hub for a recurring data collection process, responsible for coordinating with global contractors, ensuring 100% data accuracy through a rigorous quality assurance process, and preparing final data sets for ingestion into the company\'s system. This role is perfect for a process-driven individual who excels at managing multiple moving parts and has an extreme eye for detail.

Key Responsibilities

• Workflow & Project Coordination:
  • Manage the end-to-end workflow of downloading and consolidating utility rate updates from 70-80 different sources, 3-4 times per year.
  • Assign and oversee data entry tasks for a team of global contractors, providing clear instructions and templates.
  • Maintain a detailed tracker of all utilities, document versions, due dates, and contractor statuses to ensure deadlines are met.
• Data Quality Assurance & Reconciliation:
  • Perform a triplicate quality assurance check by comparing and reconciling data submitted by three different contractors for each assignment.
  • Identify, flag, and lead the remediation of any discrepancies to ensure the final data is completely accurate.
• Data Management & Administration:
  • Enforce strict file and template hygiene, including naming conventions, version control, and folder structures.
  • Validate the completeness and accuracy of all data files before handing them off to the internal team for system ingestion.
  • Perform a portion of the direct data entry work as needed to support the team.
• Potential Growth Areas:
  • Provide light executive/administrative assistance to the team, including inbox support, scheduling, and meeting notes, to help fill out a full-time schedule.

What You Bring Required Qualifications

• Extreme attention to detail is non-negotiable. You are process-driven, reliable, and meticulous.
• Strong proficiency in Excel and/or Google Sheets, including the use of lookups, comparison formulas, and data validation.
• Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent tasks with a recurring, cyclical cadence.
• Clear and crisp written English communication skills, with experience in an asynchronous, remote work environment.
• Basic data savvy, with an understanding of templates, file integrity, and version control.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience in a data operations, data administration, or research operations role.
• Experience coordinating with offshore or global contractors.
• Familiarity with project management tools (e.g., Airtable, ClickUp, Asana, Notion) and data comparison ("diff") tools.
• Familiarity with data from the utilities or energy sector (though not required).
