Taguig, Philippines Schneider Electric Full time

Essential Responsibilities

  • Provide outstanding customer service
  • Advise customers on best practice, new services and upgrade opportunities
  • Perform Startup/Commissioning on equipment across the Schneider Electric product portfolio
  • Perform preventive, scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on equipment
  • Track Installed Base (serviceable assets)
  • Submit opportunity detected during interventions
  • Support serviceable Schneider equipment including but not limited to electrical switchgear, HVAC/CRAC systems, UPS systems, PDUs, RPPs, BMS systems, PLCs, HMIs, Drives, security, access control, CCTV and fire alarm and suppression systems
  • Lead or contribute to field services small projects coordination and execution on customer site (end of life, modernization, upgrade, etc.)
  • Possess proven skill to interpret blueprints and other service documents, including specifications, reporting and quality requirements
  • Perform basic audits of customer’s electrical systems and equipment
  • Document all required information for each site (technical report)
  • Obtain customer signature for acceptance after on-site work execution
  • Provide daily and accurate time and expense for each customer intervention
  • Properly document, label, and return all defective parts used in repairs to the designated disposal/repair location
  • Develop innovative solutions to complex technical problems that arise during start-up
  • Research, evaluate, and recommend new products or equipment upgrades to meet customer needs
  • Assist Schneider Electric Service Partners in site visits, evaluating technical and professional performance
  • When at a customer site, identify other business opportunities outside the current scope and refer them to the sales team
  • Coordinate with the planner/coordinator for smooth execution of interventions
  • Escalate to FS technical expert in the country when unable to solve a technical issue
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Investigate remotely the origin of breakdowns and submit fixes (e.g., in a service bureau)

What qualifications will make you successful for this role?

Skills Required (can be adapted per technologies used in SE Business Units):

  • High level of technical knowledge of electronic/electrical component theory. Knowledge of HVAC systems and applicable application software knowledge is preferred.
  • Ability to work with general direction and follow overall objectives independently
  • Operate within division policy guidelines using independent judgment to achieve objectives
  • Comply with safety policies, practices and procedures
  • Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business procedures, professional documents, technical procedures, and governmental regulations
  • Ability to write reports and procedure manuals and to present information to managers, clients, and customers
  • Ability to calculate figures and apply basic algebra and geometry concepts
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
  • Ability to interpret a variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form
  • Proficient PC skills including email, record keeping, databases, word processing, spreadsheets, graphics, etc.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Ability to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
  • Effective communication skills with diverse audiences
  • Familiarity with preparing MOPs and adherence to approved Methods of Procedures (MOPs)
  • Verifiable hands-on technical work experience
  • Certification required according to business and country of operation
  • Relevant experience with critical systems infrastructure equipment (e.g., electrical switchgear, diesel generators, UPS, electrical distribution, chillers, cooling towers, air handlers, fire detection/suppression or building monitoring systems)
  • Valid driver’s license
Education and Experience

Associate degree in electronics/electrical/mechanical with 4–5 years of related experience, or equivalent combinations of education and experience
