Overview

We are seeking a seasoned IT Manager with extensive Cybersecurity and MSP experience to join our client's team in a high-impact role. This is not a purely technical position with a mapped-out routine; it’s a leadership role that requires adaptability, sound judgment, and the ability to balance shifting priorities. You’ll be relied upon as a trusted partner in ensuring that operations run smoothly and securely, providing both strategic direction and hands-on oversight. This is a long-term role with significant influence on how technology and security are shaped across the business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead cybersecurity strategy and oversight, including proactive threat detection, incident response, risk management, and policy enforcement.
  • Conduct technology and security audits across internal and client systems, ensuring compliance with standards (ISO 27001, SOC 2, NIST).
  • Develop and maintain long-term IT roadmaps aligned with business goals.
  • Provide executive-level advisory on risk, security posture, and technology strategy.
  • Oversee infrastructure and cloud environments (Microsoft 365, Azure, networking, hybrid setups).
  • Interpret KPIs and operational data to identify inefficiencies, vulnerabilities, and areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams, often negotiating with senior engineers and providing leadership when priorities shift.
  • Act as a secondary escalation point for critical client incidents, though the role is not primarily client-facing.
Qualifications
  • 8–10+ years of IT experience, with senior-level roles in a Managed Service Provider (MSP) environment.
  • Proven cybersecurity leadership, including experience with frameworks like ISO 27001, SOC 2, and NIST.
  • Strong technical background in Microsoft 365/Azure, networking, virtualization, and hybrid infrastructures.
  • Experience conducting audits and driving compliance and risk assessments.
  • Excellent communication and executive advisory skills, with the ability to present risk analyses and strategic plans to leadership.
  • Track record of leading distributed teams and collaborating across time zones.
  • Adaptable, pragmatic, and able to prioritize effectively when business needs change.
