OVERVIEW: The Payment Application Representative II is responsible for performing more advanced payment processing tasks within the Accounts Receivable team. This role involves accurately applying payments, resolving complex discrepancies, and mentoring junior staff as needed. The ideal candidate has a solid background in AR/cash application processes and thrives in a fast-paced, detail-driven environment.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Accurately apply a high volume of customer payments (ACH, credit card, wire transfers, lockbox, checks) to the correct accounts and invoicesInvestigate and resolve complex issues including misapplied payments, short pays, overpayments, and unapplied cashResearch customer account discrepancies and communicate resolutions with internal teams or clientsReconcile daily bank deposits and ensure system accuracyAssist in month-end closing tasks and reporting requirementsCreate and maintain documentation of standard procedures and improvementsTrain or guide Payment Application Rep I team members when neededPartner with billing, collections, and customer service departments to resolve open itemsIdentify process improvement opportunities and participate in system upgrades or automation projectsMaintain confidentiality and compliance with internal controls and audit standardsPerform additional duties and special projects as assignedQUALIFICATIONS: 2+ years of experience in accounts receivable, cash application, or related finance roleAdvanced understanding of payment types and reconciliation practicesExperience working with ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Oracle)Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data entryStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsExcellent attention to detail and organizational abilityStrong interpersonal and communication skillsPreferred:Associates or Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business AdministrationExperience in a shared services or high-volume transaction environmentFamiliarity with automated cash application tools and lockbox processingKnowledge of internal controls and SOX compliance SHIFT SCHEDULE : TBD SETUP: This is a remote (work-from-home) position open to candidates based anywhere in the Philippines.PERKS & BENEFITS: -Competitive Salary Package-Company Laptop provided-HMO Coverage on Day 1-Free HMO Dependent-Paid Leaves with Unused Leave Conversion-Monthly Attendance Bonus-13th Month Pay-Referral Bonus-Monthly Prizes and Bonuses
