Summarized Purpose:

Join Thermo Fisher Scientific as an Applications Administrator II (QA) to contribute to software quality. This role offers an exceptional opportunity to be part of a team that delivers world-class software solutions

Education/Experience

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent and relevant formal academic/vocational qualification.
  • 2–4 years of experience in application administration and/or quality assurance, including hands-on involvement in test execution, defect tracking, and supporting QA environments.

Major Job Responsibilities

  • Formulate and carry out manual and automated test scripts to confirm software functionality and performance.
  • Identify, document, and track bugs and defects using appropriate tools.
  • Collaborate closely with developers and cross-functional teams to ensure adherence to quality standards.
  • Maintain comprehensive test documentation, including test plans, results, and reports.

Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities

  • Strong understanding of the software testing lifecycle and methodologies (e.g., functional, regression, integration testing).
  • Competence in the application of test automation tools such as Selenium, JUnit, or related substitutes.
  • Proficiency in defect tracking tools such as Jira.
  • Familiarity with Agile and DevOps environments.
  • Excellent attention to detail and analytical thinking.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Effective problem-solving and debugging capabilities.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.

Must Have Skills

  • Capability in manual and automated testing.
  • Skillfulness with test automation tools (for example, Selenium, JUnit).
  • Proficiency in managing defect tracking systems (e.g., Jira).
  • Understanding of Agile or DevOps workflows.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills.

Good To Have Skills

  • Exposure to scripting languages (e.g., Python, JavaScript).
  • Experience with performance or security testing tools.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and integration testing.
  • Knowledge of industry-standard QA metrics and reporting practices.

India: 05:30 PM to 02:30 AM IST

Philippines: 08:00 PM to 05:00 AM PST
