Overview

We are VA Platinum, a leading offshore staffing solution focused on extraordinary service. The Financial Controller is responsible for planning, designing, and coordinating the implementation of sound accounting and financial management and control systems and procedures for all operational areas. The role includes maintaining accurate financial records for the PH and AU entities and ensuring compliance with applicable laws. The Financial Controller works with the PH Lead to develop financial strategies for the company.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee day-to-day accounting, recording, reporting, and internal control activities to ensure cash flow supports operations.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Collaborate with the PH Lead to forecast costs and revenues.
  • Coordinate with the in-house accountant to manage tax payments.
  • Prepare budgets and forecasts; monitor and report on accounting discrepancies.
  • Analyze financial trends and conduct risk analysis.
  • Manage Finance Team projects and direct financial strategy, planning, and forecasts in coordination with the PH Lead, CCO, and department heads.
Ideal Candidate (Must Have Requirements)
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation preferred or a bachelor's degree in Business Administration or Accounting.
  • Minimum of 2 years experience as Financial Controller, finance officer, or relevant role in a foreign-owned company, shared service, or outsourcing business.
  • Proficient in MS Office and accounting software (Xero, SAP, etc.).
  • Excellent written and spoken English; strong service orientation and willingness to coach, develop, and mentor staff.
  • Ability to work independently and coordinate effectively as part of a team; able to learn quickly in a fast-paced environment.
  • Mature disposition with the ability to manage sensitive situations; strong analytical and organizational skills.
  • Willing to work on-site (IT Park, Cebu City, Philippines).
