Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Distribution Supervisor to oversee and manage our daily delivery and logistics operations. This role is responsible for ensuring timely, efficient, and cost-effective distribution of goods while maintaining high standards of service, safety, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate daily distribution operations including truck loading, dispatching, routing, and delivery.
  • Inspect deliveries for damage, discrepancies, or defects and promptly report issues to management.
  • Implement and enforce Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for all dispatch, loading, and unloading activities.
  • Plan and assign trucks, drivers, and helpers to ensure efficient route planning and delivery execution.
  • Monitor delivery timelines, including Estimated Time of Departure (ETD) and Estimated Time of Arrival (ETA), to ensure on-time performance.
  • Collaborate with third-party logistics providers and internal fleet to balance cost and service quality.
  • Lead, supervise, and support distribution staff (drivers and helpers), ensuring adherence to company policies.
  • Conduct staff training, coaching, and performance evaluations to maintain high operational standards.
  • Address disciplinary matters in alignment with company guidelines.
  • Verify and reconcile delivery documents such as Delivery Receipts (DR), trip tickets, and transport logs.
  • Prepare and submit accurate daily, weekly, and monthly reports on delivery performance, fleet utilization, and logistics costs.
  • Investigate transport-related issues such as delays, accidents, and damaged goods, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Handle customer complaints related to delivery delays, shortages, or product damages, ensuring timely resolution.
  • Coordinate closely with Sales, Warehouse, and Production teams to align delivery operations with business needs.
  • Analyze delivery performance metrics, identify operational bottlenecks, and propose continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Optimize delivery routes, manpower deployment, and fleet usage to enhance efficiency and reduce operational costs.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Operations Management or its equivalent.
  • At least 1-2 years of experience in warehousing, logistics, or distribution operations.
  • Strong knowledge of basic logistics processes and delivery documentation.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills.
  • Strong leadership and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Experience in supervising teams.
