Job Title: Sous Chef Reports to: Head Chef / Executive Chef Key Responsibilities Assist the Head Chef in managing all kitchen operations and ensuring smooth workflow. Supervise and train kitchen staff, including cooks and kitchen assistants. Oversee food preparation and presentation to ensure quality and consistency. Assist in menu planning, recipe development, and costing. Maintain inventory levels, monitor food stock, and ensure proper storage. Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and hygiene standards. Monitor portion control and minimize food waste. Step in to lead the kitchen during the Head Chef’s absence. Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure excellent customer satisfaction. Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen environment. Qualifications Proven experience as a Sous Chef or similar role in a restaurant or hospitality setting. Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, ingredients, and kitchen operations. Leadership and team management skills. Excellent communication and organizational abilities. Culinary degree or equivalent professional training preferred. Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices. Skills & Attributes Passion for food and creativity in menu development. Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
