Job Summary:
The Staff Nurse is responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to patients in accordance with hospital policies, standards of nursing practice, and regulatory requirements. The role involves assessing patient needs, planning and implementing care, and evaluating the effectiveness of nursing interventions to ensure patient safety and recovery.
Key Responsibilities: Patient Care:- Provide direct nursing care to patients including medication administration, wound care, and vital signs monitoring.
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans.
- Ensure accurate and timely documentation of patient care and progress in medical records.
- Assist physicians during examinations, procedures, and treatments.
- Respond to emergencies and provide life-saving interventions as needed.
- Adhere to hospital policies, protocols, and infection control standards.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
- Ensure proper handling, storage, and administration of medicines and medical supplies.
- Report any unusual patient conditions, incidents, or safety concerns promptly.
- Provide health education and discharge instructions to patients and their families.
- Promote patient comfort and emotional well-being through compassionate care and effective communication.
- Work closely with physicians, allied health professionals, and other nurses to deliver coordinated care.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and case discussions.
- Assist in the orientation and training of new nurses and nursing assistants.
- Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or Diploma in Nursing.
- License: Must be a Registered Nurse (RN) with a valid PRC license.
- Experience:
- Preferably with at least 6 months to 1 year of hospital or clinical experience (fresh graduates may be considered).
- Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS); Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) is an advantage.
- Strong clinical and critical-thinking skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure in fast-paced environments.
- Compassionate, patient-centered approach to care.
- Knowledge of hospital protocols, infection control, and safety practices.
- Willing to work on shifting schedules , weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift patients or heavy equipment when needed.
