Category Analyst 2 - Global Indirect Procurement page is loadedCategory Analyst 2 - Global Indirect Procurement Apply remote type Onsite locations Cebu time type Full time posted on Posted 30+ Days Ago job requisition id ASU This role will support the Global Indirect Procurement team by driving all aspects of the Procure-to-Pay (P2P) process, with a dedicated focus on the Philippines and broader APAC region. The resource will provide end-to-end procurement support—from Purchase Requisition (PR) creation to Purchase Order (PO) execution—while contributing to supplier management activities, including RFx processes, sourcing and negotiation, contract management, and stakeholder engagement.
Additionally, this role will be responsible for maintaining the spend dashboard and supporting procurement analytics and reporting to enable timely, data-driven decision-making. This position plays a key role in ensuring procurement activities are executed efficiently, compliantly, and in alignment with Asurion’s strategic and operational goals.

Procurement Operations & Strategic Sourcing

• Execute cost-benefit analyses, negotiate pricing, manage stakeholder expectations, and oversee the full end-to-end procurement and supply chain process.
• Source, negotiate, and procure indirect goods and services, ensuring proper contract terms, conditions, warranties, and payment arrangements are in place.
• Develop and implement effective sourcing strategies for assigned categories across all relevant sites, aligned with organizational goals.
• Support the broader procurement team in streamlining tools and processes to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of sourcing activities to include spend dashboard reporting and maintenance as recommended by Bain in Simplification efforts.
• Engage with business units to support sourcing strategies, provide market intelligence, and proactively contribute to supplier discussions for new initiatives and projects.

Contract & Supplier Management

• Act as the primary procurement contact for all sourcing related strategies, monitors contract compliance and updates across the Philippines and APAC region.
• Provide contract management reporting to category managers and leadership, including spend analytics, contract status, renewal alerts, and key performance indicators.
• Lead resolution efforts related to contract discrepancies, agreement variances, and commercial disputes, ensuring Asurion’s interests are protected.
• Negotiate additional savings opportunities during the requisition process and contribute to supplier performance discussions.

P2P System & Compliance Support

• Serve as a subject matter expert in the Procure-to-Pay (P2P) system, offering guidance and resolving process-related issues.
• Monitor and maintain P2P system transactions, including purchase orders; proactively resolve issues and ensure timely and accurate resubmission of failed or rejected transactions.
• Advise and support internal stakeholders in adhering to procurement policies and procedures, including supplier qualification, sourcing process, use of scorecards, and contract compliance.
• Collaborate with Accounts Payable and cross-functional teams to ensure all P2P activities meet service and performance expectations.

Customer Service & Problem Solving

• Deliver exceptional customer service by addressing procurement-related concerns promptly and professionally.
• Demonstrate creative thinking and problem-solving capabilities to improve sourcing outcomes and operational efficiency.

Education:

• College Graduate / Degree holder preferably in Engineering, Computer, IT, Business Management or other related fields.

Experiences, Skillsets & Personal Competencies

• 3 + years experience with an enterprise Procure to Pay system such as Microsoft Dynamics (DAX).
• Knowledge of Supply Management processes.
• Systems integration experience with transactional interfaces.
• Strong business knowledge and understanding of Supply Chain applications.
• Excellent Communication Skills with a high degree of verbal and written.
• Proficiency both technical and operational.
• Use and support of structured processes and techniques to develop sourcing strategies.
• Possesses strong analytical thinking, problem-solving skills and strong teamwork skills.
• Possesses advanced computer skills and with a high level of computer literacy including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and PowerBI.
