Category Manager

JOB SUMMARY:
The Category Manager is responsible for driving the growth and profitability of all assigned brands under his/her category by leading their sales and marketing functions. This role defines the strategic direction of the category (subject to management approval), oversees its execution across multiple channels, and manages the full P&L. The Category Manager ensures brand relevance, market competitiveness, and operational excellence through data-driven decision-making, cross-functional collaboration, and continuous innovation.
1.MARKETING MANAGEMENT
- Develop and lead the implementation of the marketing strategies for all managed brands under the category. This will include market development, launch, and sustainment campaigns and initiatives, and will involve:
- Social media display / online retail channels advertising
- Search engine marketing
- Social network community management
- Content development and marketing
- Influencers marketing
- Traditional advertising (TV, print, radio) and PR
- Below-the-line marketing and sales initiatives (e.g. Point-of-purchase advertising, product sampling, etc.)
2.BRAND MANAGEMENT
– Work closely with management committee in developing/re-orienting the brand direction of the products under the category, and how this will be implemented. Take the lead in conducting market research to guide branding and marketing.
3.SALES MANAGEMENT
- Lead company's sales growth in offline and online channels; work closely with in-house Organica sales support team, and distributors/retailers in developing and implementing sales initiatives.
4.DIGITAL ASSETS MANAGEMENT -
Manage the work of external service providers to optimize and revamp websites (including SEO), create landing pages, and optimize user experience; Utilize data analytics to evaluate end-to-end customer experience across multiple channels and customer touch points. Identify critical conversion points and drop off points and optimizes user funnels.
5.PERFORMANCE MONITORING & REPORTING -
Develop and implement marketing and sales reports and reporting protocols/systems for the company. Leverage data and measure success of marketing and sales initiatives (i.e. brand awareness, engagement, ROI, etc.).
6.TEAM LEADERSHIP -
Structure, manage, and monitor the work of the team and outsourced service suppliers.
7.INNOVATION –
Provide ideas/suggestions on new products, systems, processes that can help grow and improve the category's performance.
8.Perform other related work-related tasks as may be assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
Bachelor's Degree in Marketing
, Business Management, Advertising or any related discipline
Work Experience :
- Minimum of 5 years in a managerial role, preferably in the consumer health or FMCG industry.
- Proven track record of leadership and delivering business results.
Skills:
- Highly proficient in English (both written and spoken)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to influence and collaborate across all levels of the organization.
- Experience managing external vendors and cross-functional teams.
