Overview

Project Specialist - Strategy, SPX Express is responsible for the end-to-end planning, execution, and closing of projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the required scope and quality. This role involves leading cross-functional teams, managing stakeholders, identifying and mitigating risks, and driving projects to successful outcomes that align with organizational goals.

Responsibilities
  • Define project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
  • Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, resource allocation, and budget estimates.
  • Lead and motivate project teams, assigning tasks, providing guidance, and fostering a collaborative environment.
  • Monitor project progress, track key performance indicators (KPIs), and report on status to all stakeholders.
  • Identify, assess, and manage project risks and issues, developing mitigation strategies as needed.
  • Facilitate effective communication among project team members, stakeholders, and external parties.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Management or related field
  • (Nice to have) PMP Certification, Six Sigma
  • At least 2 years managing complex projects from initiation to closure
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams and influencing stakeholders
  • Proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget
  • Strong understanding of project management principles, tools, and techniques
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills with ability to influence at all levels
  • Solid analytical and problem-solving abilities with keen attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently and prioritize effectively
  • Risk management and change management expertise
  • (Nice to have) SQL experience
  • Willingness to learn basic SQL
