Job Summary

The Accountant will serve as a direct protégé to the Vice President for Finance, supporting the Finance Department’s strategic initiatives and succession planning. The role is critical in ensuring the accurate preparation of consolidated financial reports, strict adherence to IFRS/PFRS standards, and compliance with internal and external audit requirements.

The candidate will provide strong technical support in financial consolidation, reporting, and audit coordination—strengthening the department’s capacity while developing future leadership potential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and review stand-alone and consolidated financial reports in compliance with IFRS/PFRS.

  • Assist in the coordination of internal and external audits.

  • Provide financial analysis and insights to support management decision-making.

  • Strengthen internal controls and ensure compliance with BIR and other regulatory requirements.

  • Prepare financial reports, presentations, and data for projects.

  • Handle sensitive and confidential financial information with professionalism and discretion.

  • Maintain records, monitor key documents, and support information management processes.

Position Requirements

Educational Background

  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred; Accounting graduate acceptable with strong relevant experience.

  • MBA or professional certification (CIA, CMA, CFA, CFrA, CICA) is an advantage.

Work Experience

  • At least 5 years of experience in financial reporting and consolidation.

  • Background in external audit (Big 4 or reputable audit firm is an advantage).

  • Familiarity with IFRS, PFRS, and BIR compliance.

Technical Competencies

  • Strong knowledge of consolidated financial statement preparation.

  • Proficient in accounting systems and advanced MS Excel.

  • Skilled in audit process, financial analysis, and internal controls.
