Procurement Supervisor – NU STAR Resort Join to apply for the Procurement Supervisor role at NU STAR Resort. Job Responsibilities Supervises the procurement process within the property ensuring timely acquisition of goods and services at optimal costs while maintaining high standards of quality. Collaborates with department heads to identify procurement needs and forecast demand. Conducts market research to identify potential suppliers and evaluate their capabilities. Identifies, evaluates, and selects suppliers based on criteria such as quality, price, and delivery speed. Negotiates contracts and terms with suppliers to ensure favorable terms and conditions. Establishes and maintains strong relationships with suppliers to facilitate smooth procurement processes. Monitors supplier performance and addresses any issues or concerns promptly. Reviews purchase requisitions and converts them into purchase orders. Ensures accuracy and completeness of purchase orders, including specifications, quantities, and delivery dates. Tracks the status of orders and expedites delivery as necessary to meet project deadlines. Monitors procurement costs and identifies opportunities for cost savings. Analyzes pricing trends and negotiates competitive prices with suppliers. Implements cost‑saving initiatives without compromising quality or service. Ensures compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. Assesses and mitigates risks associated with procurement activities. Maintains accurate records of procurement transactions and documentation. Supervises and mentors procurement staff, providing guidance and support as needed. Fosters a collaborative and high‑performance culture within the procurement team. Conducts performance evaluations and provides feedback to team members. Identifies opportunities for process improvement and efficiency gains. Implements best practices and innovative solutions to optimize the procurement process. Stays updated on industry trends and developments in procurement practices. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management, or a related field. Proven experience in procurement or purchasing roles, with at least 3‑5 years in a supervisory capacity. Strong negotiation skills and ability to build and maintain relationships with suppliers. Proficiency in procurement software and MS Office applications. Solid understanding of procurement regulations and best practices. Experience in a manufacturing or distribution environment is an added advantage. Knowledge and understanding of international trade regulations and import/export procedures, a plus.
