Job Description

Penbrothers is seeking a Partnerships & Business Development Specialist to help our client's sales growth. This role is focused on building international client relationships, managing the full sales cycle, and contributing directly to revenue targets.

About the Client: Our client is a mission-driven environmental organization focused on large-scale ocean plastic removal and sustainability. Their bold goal is to recover 100 million kilograms of plastic waste from the oceans, working with both individuals and businesses to drive impact.

About the Role: We are looking for a motivated and independent Partnerships & Business Development Specialist to help our client's sales growth. This role is focused on building international client relationships, managing the full sales cycle, and contributing directly to revenue targets.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the end-to-end sales cycle — from outreach, presentations, and proposals to closing deals.
  • Build long-term partnerships and identify upsell/cross-sell opportunities.
  • Use HubSpot (or similar CRM tools) to manage pipeline, track progress, and ensure follow-ups.
  • Prepare tailored proposals, RFP responses, and presentations for prospective clients.
  • Independently identify and pursue opportunities, while leveraging backend lead generation support.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to align sales activities with overall partnership strategies.
  • Deliver against targets such as revenue, meetings booked, and pipeline creation.

Requirements:

  • 4+ years of B2B Sales / Business Development experience, ideally with international clients.
  • Proven ability to close deals and manage client-facing sales processes.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to build trust and influence decision-makers.
  • Experience with CRMs (HubSpot a plus, but Salesforce/Pipedrive acceptable).
  • Independent, self-driven, and comfortable working remotely.
  • Passion for sustainability, social impact, or purpose-driven organizations (a strong plus).
