Developing and implementing transportation strategies to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance customer satisfaction Liaising with suppliers, carriers, and other stakeholders to coordinate the seamless movement of products Analyzing transportation data and metrics to identify areas for improvement and make data-driven decisions Negotiating contracts with transportation providers to secure the most competitive rates and service levels Overseeing the day-to-day operations of the transportation department, including route planning, load scheduling, and fleet management Ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and safety standards in the transportation of goods Providing training and support to the transportation team to enhance their skills and productivity What we're looking for Minimum 5 years of experience in a senior transport or logistics role, preferably within the manufacturing, transport, and logistics industry Thorough understanding of transportation modes, routes, and regulations, as well as expertise in supply chain management and logistics operations Proven track record of optimizing transportation processes and implementing cost-saving measures Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions Strong negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders Proficient in the use of transportation management systems and data analysis software Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field #J-18808-Ljbffr
